According to Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 236.063, "Peace Week" is designated as the week in January that begins with Martin Luther King Jr. Day and concludes the following Saturday. During this week, the Governor issues a proclamation encouraging activities that promote a culture of peace, including educational programs, and community events.
